7 hours, neat. Link to the Design Doc and to the Project.
Fixed inconsistent button presses, they were requiring the cursor to be in motion to register the press. Default Xin doesn't get locked out by using Q. Default Xin's E no longer humorously bounces off the charge target. Default Xin levels correctly. Fixed targeting issues associated with the modded Xin's facing indicator being registered as a target. Default Xin's slow was speeding his target up.
220 hours total. Average worked day of 7.1 hours. This project got dragged out forever because I got a ways into an application process, which is super cool, and makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something, but also means I've been on this project forever. I'm both ready to double down on this project and set it on fire.
This project had me create a functional prototype of Xin Zhao, then design and prototype a alternative version of Xin Zhao that contained all of his kit components. This isn't how a champion update works, just look at Galio, that kid is HELLA different now. But I wanted to constrain myself to make the work easier. Part of me wants to make a third version, one that is my concept of what the gladiator Xin Zhao should be, without the constraint of keeping his kit components. I might do that. But first a break.
I think this project is mad ugly. But that was never a goal. The goals set for this project have all been met: conceptually understand the Unity path finding process, generate Xin Zhao, reorganize Xin, then create his reorganization. In that respect, I am pleased. I also managed to maintain an average workday of 7 hours, which was my goal and what I feel makes for decent balance in my life.
I am undecided on my next project and am reaching out in a couple directions to figure out the way forward. I'll have a post when I get some ideas going. I have a lot of sleep to catch back up on.
