8 hours, flier damage rework.
Added two effects to the flier damaging the player: aim punch and split vision.
Aim Punch: pushes the player's facing away from the collision point of the flier over the course of 0.05 seconds. During this period the player cannot influence their facing. Repeat hits reset the timer and add their push to the effect.
Split Vision: 2 seconds (fading effects). The HUD enables two materials that display screen captures over the entire viewport. The capture components (attached to the player's camera) are rotated off center from the main camera in opposite directions and are moved back into alignment over the duration. The opacity of these images fades over the duration as well. Currently these two screen captures are two opposite colors (red and blue), this could and probably should change in the future.
The result is that taking the occasional hit from a stray flier is obvious and startling. Given their low damage before, which has been lowered again now, it was easy to take out the majority of the pack and then eat the rest on the chin.
There will be tuning on these and all these damage touch ups as they all occur.
