Project #8 Day #16

6 hours, shorter day to fight illness. I can feel myself fighting something, but I'm not sick yet. Also recorded a podcast from the comfort of my home today.

I spent pretty much the whole 6 hours playing around with particle emitters and particle systems. I haven't used the system seriously before so there was a lot of learning today. I made and largely implemented the particles generated from a tile being converted to a new color. This action instantiates between 7 and 13 particles that last between 2/6th and 3/6th of a second. They spawn moving at 3 tiles per second and will bounce of tiles of the same color or of unoccupied space. Their size is also randomized to be between 15% and 5% of a game tile. The colors correspond of the projectile color correctly. I am unsure if my launch angle is perfect, but is hard to tell because the particle instantiation is obscured by the tiles splitting down the center. I looks about right though. Good stuff for a sick day!
