Project #8 Day #19

8 hours, slow start with a true combo into being overwhelmed.

Fixed map selection menus coloration in all states. Map selection menu now has pulsing buttons when they are appropriate. When a button is hovered over it highlights and pulses. When a button was highlighted and now nothing is, it continues to pulse without highlight. When a new button is highlighted scale is reset. Recoloring of menus across the board following the realization that the colors of things are largely independent of the pallet. Map menu does some placeholder stuff that's important. On click the grid is generated, attributes are assigned, players are spawned, the menu is removed, but the pick ups spawn in at the wrong times. Fixing it tomorrow. Improved particle instantiation so that more spawn inside the appropriate tile, and none of them ever spawn in the void. Player 2 has arrived with their own independent joystick control scheme and bug fixes to ensure they are displaying gathered fast projectiles. Also fixed some new weirdness with players being unable to die.

A significant part of today was realizing how much farther there is to go for this vertical slice to be perfect. It is a lot. Repopulated the board now that the oldest tasks are coming off. I feel overwhelmed. But I am becoming better and better at accommodating these waves of anxiety.
