3 hours. Fixed player 1 hit particles being broken. Cleaned up some scripts. A little map fixing. Verified that parrying works (never checked before now). Projectiles instantiate closer to the player now. Removed some players destroy conditions that have been made unnecessary.
Hey, its a game. You can download it by clicking here. I'm pleased that I have a game loop that is completed. I've been very pleased with this project up till now, but now that it is done I feel like there is more I could have done. The gameplay largely moves right, the menus are mostly empty but look pretty spot on. Many graphical effects aren't quite right but lets call them close enough. I placed significant chunks of time into systems that never came together, time that I could have used to get the menu backgrounds in. At the time I had no idea that the color pallet system wasn't as simple as color adjustments off a pallet. I'm not upset I invested the time I did into it though. It seemed like a worthy pursuit at the time. But going forward I should focus my efforts or the core gameplay first, getting the core of the experience well fleshed out first. Especially now that I've shown I can make a menu system, the menuing can come later in some more utilitarian way. All my energy is gone right now. It's the best thing I've created yet, but I'm not as pumped about it as I was just a few days ago. I suppose that is just the nature of this process, the game loses a lot of its magic when the deadline comes and starts eliminating possibilities.
