Project #14 Day #360

8 hours, rethinking time dilation.

I have removed global time dilation. It is a problem from a coding standpoint and a problem from a mechanical standpoint. I will instead be tracking the same math about pick up timers and using it to influence individual aspects of individual units to create a juicier effect.

Today was a the beginning of this process. This process gives me a good excuse to clean up old blueprints. Today the walker got cleaned up, it’s better now but not perfect. They slow down as the player gets more instances of PU amp.

I did work on Icarus today, but none of it meant I had to close UE, or completely shift away from my UE thinking for an extended period. I could in a sense think of this day kinda like 6 hours, with cuts away to work on Icarus and sweat the final couple thousand dollars. But I don’t think that calling it 6 is totally honest or fair to myself? I am thinking about these two things constantly right now, I think about one while doing the other in this tracked time and off. They were not the most productive UE hours I’ve ever committed, but my heads been a mess the last few days anyway, it’s not like any of my last couple days I have been hot fire. I’ve had my head all over the place about it. I’m gonna keep typing out my thoughts here as they progress.
