7 hours, time to test.
Finished implementing the communications bar. It’s now ready for use whenever that happens. Realized as I was finishing up that I could have just done this when I needed it for something. Oops.
Implemented two new mechanics for testing. First, the ability for the player to put themselves in a launch state through use of alt fire 1. I think this needs to happen to prevent a dominant strategy of loading up each phase after a phase full of jump pads. It needs work, but it feels fun initially.
Secondly, working on heat system, built with prime fire, consumed with secondary fire. I could be made clearer. I’ll be adding some new bars to the HUD tomorrow to show case these mechanics.
