Project #8 Day #4

No groove, but 8 hours. My gosh darn noggin hurts. Wasn't around yesterday because I was celebrating a buddies birthday. Not a lot of things done, but a lot more project definition.

So this is gonna be a one scene game after all? For the third day in a row(?) I have redone the coloring management in the game. I am now having the pallet tracker generate colors on a materials which are assigned to the necessary objects be them images or text. This also allows me to work with textures as necessary. Spent a chunk of time I learning about textures and shaders today. I have a more exact understanding the colors that I need to pull from each pallet, the edits to the colors provided seem to be pretty universal. I have a scheme to achieve these adjustments but I came up with it too late to create it today. There is a layer over the whole game that darkens the screen as a it gets farther from the center. I have an approximation of that in. Learned some photoshop. There is a filter over the game that creates fake scan lines. I'm trying to determine how I account for this, and how I make my own of these. I'm ready to make the game space, and I have a plan for I'm going to generate maps, but it was too ambitious for me to take on today. I think the menu background transparency is perfect now though, that's neat.
